So it must be said after a week of chatter about leadership in the wake of the Brandon Marshall blow up after the home loss to the Dolphins. Obviously the emotional bounce from such a fit is a false notion. If the Bears were facing divisional foe the Vikings I'd say it'd work. But New England is too good for that. 51-23 good.
I am no genie but I knew no matter how good the Bears declare they are the Patriots are light years ahead and have been for quite some time. The rest of the league with its fits and starts. Teams rising and falling. The Patriots have been the most consistent. Not Atlanta Braves winners who choke in the first round of the playoffs. But three Super Bowl winners (not to mention the two that they lost but they got there). I'd say they were a dynasty in every sense of the word.

Were this Lovie Smiths Bears I could see them going on a run of 5 or six victories but that'd get them to 9-7 at best. There's no chance of that now and Marc Trestman isn't to blame.Seems we don't need a qb with a rocket for an arm.An offense built for back shoulder or jump ball passes. The Bears wont adjust. They wont pull out a miracle. This is your football team Chicago.

Year in and year out since the greatest show on turf came to an end New England is what every team should strive to be. With all of the new fangled offenses and innovative defenses that have come and gone in the league New England seems to stick to the same philosophy and are able to adjust on the fly. One can hardly hold it against the Bears for losing to a good team on their home field. What Brandon Marshalls blow up proved is the Bears aren't a very good team. Blow off steam all you like but you're still stuck with a quarterback that cannot hold onto the ball and a defense that couldn't stop a twelve year old on 4th and 1. Last year it was the inability to stop the run. This year it is the inability to stop the pass. Just see Gronkowski's numbers and the fact that the Bears had given up 30 plus points before half time. But don't feel bad the Pats were just as dominating in Chicago under Lovie Smith in Bear weather of all things. A message to all GM's in the league: if you want to build a consistent winner look East.
